Pilgrimage to Maria Kirchental

"Closer to God"

In 1670 a farmer experienced an apparition of the Virgin Mary in the “Kirchental” high valley. He then built a wooden chapel there, in which he later placed a statue of Mary. Between 1694 and 1701 the pilgrimage church was built – popularly known as the “Pinzgau Cathedral”.

In the more than 350 years since the apparition of Mary, this large church and the church valley have become known for many answers to prayer. Both believers and non-believers come here to pray and strengthen their connection to God.

Would you like to make a pilgrimage? You have a request to God or want to thank him? Then visit the pilgrimage church Maria Kirchental!
