Whether you just want to eat well, go on a pilgrimage or plan a holiday in the mountains – you are always welcome at Gasthof Maria Kirchental!
Our inn is located in a beautiful and energetic high valley in the Salzburger Saalachtal. Here you will find absolute peace and pure nature. The imposing pilgrimage church – popularly known as “Pinzgau Cathedral” – is in the immediate vicinity.
Our inn offers a restaurant, various lounges, a hall (also seminar room), a sunny garden with a fantastic view and various guest rooms.
We spoil you with culinary delicacies from the Pinzgau region from “grandma’s kitchen” and home-style Austrian delicacies. Since we always cook fresh and based on what is available on the local market, we also offer one or two daily specials every day.
Our guest rooms with bathrooms were renovated last year and can be booked with breakfast or – on request – with half board for one night, a (cuddly) weekend or a longer holiday. Our 2- and 3-bed rooms let you wake up rested every day and after a good breakfast in the fresh mountain air, you can start every new day of your holiday feeling refreshed.
We are also happy to offer seminars to interested parties:
Try “forest bathing”, a special form of recreation. Or take part in our herbal seminars and related cooking classes. In the “incense seminar” you will learn how to get negative energies out of your home. Information about the seminars is available on request.

Spend a holiday or just a (cuddle) weekend with us! Experience nature while “forest bathing”, go on a hike, climbing tour or mountain bike tour from the front door. Enjoy the fresh mountain air in winter on a sleigh ride or a snowshoe hike.
The location in the middle of the Salzburger Saalachtal offers countless opportunities to visit a wide variety of sights, excursion destinations and attractions. The Mozart and festival city of Salzburg with its wide range of offers is only about an hour’s drive away.
And after every eventful or sporty day of vacation, you can review the day in the (free) infrared cabin, eat well, enjoy a glass and then enjoy the peace and quiet of your accommodation.
